I did not change myself.
In Gethsemane and at Golgotha Jesus Christ bridged the gap between where I am, and where I want to be, and He is literally carrying me across that abyss.
And in true Jesus fashion, of always wanting to give us more, the resulting miracles, my own “spiritual treasures”, are priceless: sending more of the Holy Ghost, filling me with priesthood power, His promise to Enoch a promise to me, “ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, asking all things in [my] name, and whatsoever ye shall ask, it shall be given you.”
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the most beautiful, most simple truth I have ever known. Preach My Gospel says that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only thing that can save the world. I would say, Jesus Christ is the only one who can save the world (one by one), and His most basic principles are our access to Him and all His saving, all His healing.
Faith
Repentance
Baptism (Sacrament)
“Receive the Holy Ghost” (”that they may always have thy spirit to be with them”)
Endure to the end: endure a lifetime of faith and repentance (even, and especially when, we are mad, embarrassed, sad or feeling helpless and hopeless.).
This pattern is on repeat in all of scripture. It is how we prepare ourselves to receive Him when He comes again, and (I believe) the single most important thing we can do to prepare (one by one) for His arrival (3 Nephi 9:13-22). It is how we find healing, oneness.
“Faith unto repentance” is how He rescues us from every ailment.
I do not have faith without repentance; faith always leads to repentance (confession of what hurts, submission to His will),
“I don't like this. I don’t want this. Please take this away.
“Nevertheless
“Thy will be done. Thy will be done. Thy will be done.”
